Green Pumpkin Smoothie

Hey strangers and friends.

Sorry for the brief hiatus the past few days. Took a nice needed break from blogging and some social media, but now I'm back with a vengeance, ready to share possibly my most-used recipe of all time.

I have this protein shake several times a week post-workout. Usually I don't eat breakfast before working out, so this serves as recovery and a meal. IT'S AMAZING.

Green Pumpkin Smoothie

1 scoop protein powder (I use chocolate, but vanilla is good too)
2 tbsp. peanut butter powder or peanut butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. spirulina
5 drops liquid stevia (or 1 packet dry stevia)
1/2 c. frozen spinach
1/2 c. canned pumpkin
1-1 1/2 c. almond milk (depending on the blender and desired consistency - I prefer mine with more)
1/2 frozen banana
2 ice cubes

Place all ingredients in a blender and mix to desired consistency. Top with hemp seeds or granola and enjoy!

That's all for now,
AvocadoAthlete

  1. I need blogging/social media breaks from time to time too - so important to recharge!

I make green smoothies all the time but I've never tried it with pumpkin and banana. Now that just seems silly of me haha Thanks for posting this, I'm putting pumpkin on my grocery list so I can make this next time.

    1. Great, Molly! Pumpkin is a staple in our house - YEAR ROUND. Smoothies, oatmeal, pancakes, dessert, you name it - it's a plant-based powerhouse!
