Weekly Eats, PV Body #2, and Workouts

I was just as thrilled awaiting my second PV Body workout outfit arrival. I might even have been more excited, because the first one was so phenomenal and, after 5 years, my favorite pair of Under Armour pants got a hole in the bum during Christmas break. Yes, believe it or not, I did take a picture of that, but I won't be sharing it here on the blog.

Sure enough, it was just what I wanted! Full length dark gray leggings paired with a racerback tank. Check it out.

The top is great for lifting, running, or yoga-y type things. It has fantastic support with a built in bra, and I don't need a sports bra even when I'm running in it.
I love this racerback tank paired with a baggy tee for a more casual look. Also, can someone please teach me how to flex? I'm not sure I really know how...Gotta add that to my New Years goals.

Since my sister was in town this week I had a gym buddy for the first time in ages. It was so nice! We didn't do everything together, but it was great having someone there for motivation and to take some pictures of me. I work really hard to watch my form in the mirror on all my lifts, but pictures tell the truth. Overall I was fairly satisfied with my shoulders, chest, and triceps day, but it's never perfect.
Shoulder press.
Lateral raises.
I can definitely see in all these pictures how my left arm is still weaker than my right, but I'm working on it!

Post workout meals this week were GREAT. I switched up my normal Happy Herbivore recipe for mock tuna salad by removing the relish and adding a teaspoon of curry powder to make a mock curried tuna salad. Delicious!

Wouldn't be right without Ezekiel bread and balsamic side salad.

I also made the black bean chili from Snap Top Market mentioned in a previous post. The chili mix wasn't super flavorful, so of course I added some nutritional yeast :) I also added chili powder, salt, and pepper. I served it up with fresh cilantro and sliced avocado. This is how it's done folks.

Also, lately I've been getting wimpy about drinking my water. I'm not sure why. One day I love it and am a total trooper about 12 glasses a day. Then one day I wake up and I'm tired of it. This chemical free trick has been helping me stay hydrated until I decide I like water on its own again.

It's Bigelow Raspberry Tea (just the regular boxed tea bags) in cold filtered water with a big splash of lemon juice and a few drops of liquid stevia. TRY IT. So delicious and refreshing - majorly helping me get through this cold weather.

Much love,
