First of all, best breakfast ever. It started with a delicious fruit combo of raspberries, blackberries, and clementines.
I could not believe how delicious they were, especially for this time of year. There is something to be said for organic fruit, people. I waited about 30-40 minutes after eating my fruit, because I have found my body digests it MUCH better this way, and, because it's easy for the body to digest, it clears out my tummy for a fresh start to the day.
After waiting, I munched down on some delicious cereal with a new twist, courtesy of Heather at fortheloveofkale.com. I put a scoop of powdered peanut butter on my cereal (Heather uses peanut flour) and mixed it in with the milk. PEANUT BUTTER LOVERS BEWARE: cereal will never be the same again. It was lip-smacking.
Bonus? It gave me an added dose of protein to kickstart my metabolism.
Never heard of powdered peanut butter? Neither had I. It is a powder that you can mix with water to make reconstituted peanut butter, or just use to mix into things to give them that great peanut butter flavor. The only ingredients are peanuts, salt, and sugar. There is only one gram of sugar per serving, so the added sugar content is still very low. The best news? It's dirt cheap. Check it out:
